Now

A few notes about what’s I’m currently engaged in.

RSA

I’ve ended my term as Deputy Chair of the RSA’s Fellowship Council.

Outhouse Filmworks

Covid curtailed quite a lot of film activity, but things are warming up again.

The Vintage Speed Trials at Grimsthorpe Castle is an amazing event and I’ve had the privilege of filming with some truly unique vehicles including a spectacular Bugatti that started life at Sir Malcolm Campbell’s town runabout!. Here’s Outhouse Filmworks site.

King’s Lynn

Having spect more time in King’s Lynn in recent years, I’m really appreciating what a fascinating town it is. The wealth of cultural events that are available has surprised and delighted me. There’s so much going on!

This spring I produced a film promoting the town for the Town Guides who take walking tours of the old part of the town to give visitors insights into the history. Through doing so they raise money for charitable causes.

Right Now

Preparing to recommence shoot a short series of films with Robert Ashton to sit alongside his recently published book looking at how current-day entrepreneurs are learning from the past to create amazing products and opportunities today.

Reactions to the Norfolk’s Forgotten Chalk Stream film have been amazing and it’s generated a lot of press interest in the plight of the Gaywood River. The completion of the film didn’t mark an end to my involvement with the river; I’m working with others as Gaywood River Revival to bring about a full revival of what is currently a dead watercourse. It’s not going to be easy but the state it is in now is nothing short of a scandal. It’s an uphill struggle and does involve me popping up on various media channels but it’s all in a very good cause. Huge thanks to ITV, BBC and regional press for the coverage.

BTW, the view count on the link above is low because, for some reason, it took off on my personal YouTube channel where it’s has around 67k views to date!
